Dr. Tra Sin graduated with honours in 2007 from University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees. During his seven years in university, Dr. Tra worked as a contact lens research assistant at the Centre for Contact Lens Research located in University of Waterloo. He completed his externship at the Scarborough Eye Clinic where he gained invaluable clinical experience in the treatment of ocular disease.
Upon graduation, Dr. Tra wanted to practice in a small town setting and decided to move his family to The Pas.
In his spare time, Dr. Sin enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children as well as playing badminton.
Dr. Herman is a native of The Pas. He attended the University of North Dakota and worked toward a Bachelor of Natural Science degree from 1989-1992. In 1996, he graduated from University of Waterloo School of Optometry. He completed his ocular pathology and therapeutics externship at Kaiser-Permanente in Washington DC. Upon graduation, Dr. Herman worked in Tisdale, SK for 3
years. In 1999, Dr. Herman returned home to The Pas and opened the present practice with his wife Lavonne. He is qualified to prescribe therapeutics for the treatment and management of eye diseases.
Outside of optometry Dr. Herman is a grain farmer. He spent many years as a volunteer coach for the local hockey association. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
